Michael from Richardson began the process to apply for his Social Security retirement benefits in 2019 but decided to wait. When he reapplied to collect his benefits in November of 2020, Michael experienced issues trying to settle his first application and return a refund to the Social Security Administration (SSA). After waiting four months with no response from the SSA, Michael reached out to Rep. Allred for assistance. 

After hearing about Michael’s issue, Rep. Allred reached out to the SSA to help settle his outstanding issues. Shortly after Rep. Allred’s inquiry, the issue was resolved and Michael was able to receive full back pay along with his monthly benefits.
