After getting married, Jocelyn needed a new passport to reflect her name change. She submitted her application for a new passport with her new last name, and received notification that it had been received on August 31. Jocelyn had an upcoming family Thanksgiving trip on November 25th, and by November 4th, she had not yet received her new passport despite paying for expedited processing. That’s when Jocelyn contacted Rep. Allred for help.

After hearing about Jocelyn’s urgent situation, Rep. Allred contacted the State Department regarding the status of Jocelyn’s passport request. After Rep. Allred submitted the inquiry, the agency approved the application, and she received her passport two days later. Now she can spend Thanksgiving with her family as planned.

If you need help with a federal agency, Congressman Allred’s office is here to help. Please call (972) 972-7949 or visit our services page for more information.
