John, president of his HOA in Dallas, filed a report with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) after someone broke into his community’s mailroom, broke the locks on their mailboxes and stole their mail. But he did not receive a response from them. He then contacted his local post office, and was informed that the mail could not be delivered unless the locks on the mailboxes were replaced. However, the locks could only be replaced by the USPS, and John had yet to receive a response.

After waiting for a response from the USPS and experiencing serious mail delays, John contacted Rep. Allred to request his assistance. Rep. Allred inquired with the USPS and it only took a few days for the agency to respond. Soon after, the USPS replaced the locks on the mailboxes. After waiting five weeks, the members of John’s community are now receiving their mail.
