Allred Announces over $2.3 Million in Savings for Constituents in Texas’ 32nd District

October 29, 2020

Richardson, Texas – Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) today announced he helped secure over $2.3 million in savings for constituents of the 32nd District of Texas since his first day in Congress. Allred also announced that he closed 1,037 cases for constituents to resolve issues with federal agencies.

"One of the most important parts of my job is to help North Texans cut through red tape and get answers from our federal agencies," said Allred. "Whether you need help getting your tax refund, are having trouble securing a small business loan, facing issues signing up for Medicare, or need to get your VA benefits, I am here to help."

On Allred's website, you can read the stories of how Allred and his team have helped many North Texans resolve issues with federal agencies.

Last month, Allred was able to help Capt. Elrie Freeman from Garland receive his Purple Heart medal for injuries he sustained while bravely serving in Vietnam, 50 years after he tried to obtain the medal himself.

This past summer, Allred was able to help Jill from Garland receive an Economic Injury Disaster Loanafter her business was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and she had a hard time receiving answers on her own from the Small Business Administration on the status of the loan.

In March of 2019, Allred was able to help Barbara, a high school guidance counselor from Richardson, get her tax refund after months of delays and frustration. You can watch a video about her story here.

North Texans that need help with a federal agency can call Allred's Richardson office at 972-972-7949 or visit /services/help-federal-agency to submit your issue.
