Allred Joining Bipartisan Thanksgiving Congressional Delegation to Visit Servicemembers and Veterans in Asia

November 22, 2021

Photographs From the Visit Will Be Released Throughout the Week

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32), a member of the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, announced that he is part of a bipartisan congressional delegation traveling this week to Japan and South Korea to meet with foreign dignitaries, military leadership, servicemembers and veterans. On Thanksgiving day, the Members will share lunch and dinner with American veterans and servicemembers currently stationed in South Korea.

“Our servicemembers and veterans make countless sacrifices to keep us safe and serve our country, including missing holidays at home with loved ones,” said Allred. “It’s why we must make sure they can always access the benefits they’ve earned, no matter where they live or are stationed. It’s an honor to be joining this congressional delegation to thank our servicemembers and veterans and to learn how we can better serve them when they are in uniform and when they complete their service.”

The Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mark Takano is leading the delegation, which includes Allred and his colleagues Reps. Slotkin (D-MI), Jacobs (D-CA) and Mace (R-SC). Photographs of the delegation will be released throughout the week.
