Allred Joins Dallas based Match for Virtual Employee Town Hall

June 8, 2020

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) today participated in a virtual town hall with employees at Match, which is headquartered in Dallas, in the 32nd District of Texas. The discussion was moderated by Hesam Hosseini, the CEO of Match and Match Affinity.

Allred discussed his work in Congress, and answered questions from employees on the response to COVID-19, Congressional legislation on police reform that will restore confidence in law enforcement and ensure justice, as well as privacy and regulatory issues as it relates to tech companies.

"These virtual events are so important because even though we are apart, North Texans need to hear directly from their elected officials about all the critical issues we face as a nation," said Allred. "Tech companies like Match are vital to the future growth of our region. I thank Mr. Hosseini and Match for hosting this discussion. We covered a lot of topics important to North Texans and I look forward to working together as Match continues to build on its success in Dallas."

"At Match, we make it a priority for our employees to engage in current events, politics, and social justice issues so they can be advocates for change," said Hesam Hosseini, CEO of Match. "We believe that civic discussions like the one we had today are powerful and will lead to action that can make a real impact in our communities."
