Allred joins Taylor to Pass Bipartisan Amendment to Provide Flexibility and Help Reduce Traffic on US 75
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX-32), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, joined Congressman Van Taylor (R-TX-03) in leading the bipartisan passage of an amendment to reduce traffic on U.S. 75. The amendment, similar in nature to the one added in the surface transportation bill, works to provide flexibility with funding regarding HOV lanes that are underutilized on U.S. 75. The measure passed the full House as part of a package of House Appropriations bills this week.
“I will always work with my North Texas colleagues to improve our infrastructure, create jobs and reduce congestion,” said Allred. “There is a lot of agreement on the need for action to bolster our transportation infrastructure here in North Texas and I was proud that this amendment passed the House. I thank Congressman Van Taylor for leading on this, and I will keep working with folks in both parties to do what’s best for our region.”
