Allred Statement on Being Chosen as Caucus Representative to House Leadership

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) released the following statement after being chosen by his colleagues as Caucus Representative to House leadership in the 117th Congress. The position represents Democratic members who have served five terms or less. In the previous Congress, Allred served as co-President of the Freshman Democratic Class. 

“I am truly honored to have been chosen by my colleagues as their representative with House leadership. No matter what, I will always fight for the values I learned growing up in North Texas and work to bring folks together to solve the big problems we face. 

“We have so much important work ahead -- from saving lives by stopping the spread of COVID-19 to preparing for vaccine distribution, passing economic help, lowering health care and prescription drug costs, protecting civil rights, and battling climate change. 

“We must work together to deliver real results for the American people and I will fight every day to do just that.”
