Allred Statement on the President Signing USMCA

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32), today released the following statement after the President signed the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USCMA):

"This is a historic moment for our three nations and a big win for North Texas workers and businesses. USMCA will provide much-needed certainty and stability so that our economy can continue to thrive.

"Since I first arrived in Congress, securing this agreement has been a top priority and I worked tirelessly to ensure Congressional leaders knew how important this was to Texas.

"Texas is a top trade state and USMCA will bolster trade with Mexico and Canada which supports more than 36,000 jobs right here in North Texas. By strengthening worker protections, USMCA will shift the paradigm and create a new standard for future trade agreements.

"I thank my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for putting partisan politics aside to deliver for the American people and do the job we were elected to do."
