Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) was sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives for his second term. In the 117th Congress, Allred will serve as the Caucus Representative to House leadership, representing Democratic members who have served five terms or less.

“I’m honored to once again represent the people of North Texas, where I was born and raised, in Congress,” said Allred. “There is much work to be done in the 117th Congress from stopping the spread of COVID-19, to lowering health care and prescription drug costs, protecting civil rights, and building back our economy, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver real results for the people of North Texas.”

Allred was re-elected to serve Texas’ 32nd Congressional District and added to the rolls of the House upon executing the oath of office. He served as co-President of the Freshman Democratic Class in the 116th Congress.
